Meals Ministry

When a family has a new baby or when an illness or surgery occurrs, we take them a meal! Join us as we serve one another in this way. If you are interested in being added to the Meals Ministry list, please contact Sueanne Skeen at [email protected] or 206-478-8274. You can also sign up to be added to our list in the App.

The Rescue Van

Every other Friday our Rescue Van travels into our community to help those who find themselves homeless. We distribute meals, toiletry kits and blankets and clothing items in the winter, as well as build friendships. Click HERE to sign volunteer or learn more. This is a family friendly ministry opportunity.

Partnering Organizations

Connect Nicaragua

The Short-Term Missions program allows you to step into the Nicaraguan culture for 7 days to connect with people, experience the reality of life here, and witness all that God is doing in this beautiful country. Our goal in this program is help people connect with Christ and see how God is working outside of their own culture. Short-Term trips are a combination of experiencing life in Nicaragua and working on projects in our area of influence.  Contact Jay Young for details: [email protected].

One Day’s Wages

Aurora has partnered with One Day’s Wages,  “a grassroots movement of people, stories, and actions to alleviate extreme global poverty. We promote awareness, invite simple giving, and support sustainable relief through partnerships, especially with smaller organizations in developing regions.” We have created a campaign to raise money for their Water Fund which provides clean water access to people in desperate need of it all over the world. We, as Aurora, are donating to this campaign on behalf of our first and second time guests. So when a new person fills out a Connection Card, we will donate either $5 or $10 for their first or second time visits, respectively. Also, any of our members that wish to make a personal donation are, of course, welcome to do so! To find more information or make a donation, visit our campaign here:

Reach By Causely

We have partnered with this organization through Facebook check-ins! Every time you check-in to Aurora Community Nazarene Church on Facebook you can do some good. Reach by Causely features a Kingdom-building cause each month and donates to it per check-in. For example, in the month of January, every 10 check-ins will result in an item of clothing donated to someone in need.
